It's a Roman Holiday

The end of summer is quickly approaching, meaning school will soon start and I'll be going back to London.  Of course I'm excited to go back, but I'm also going to miss my friends here.  Some of them I won't see again for at least a year - maybe longer.  Recently my friend Veronika and I got together to watch the movie Roman Holiday.  For someone who loves old movies, I had amazingly never seen it before.  I loved everything about the movie, but especially the costumes.  After watching it, Veronika and I were inspired to go out and take some pictures inspired by the film.  We changed into our best 1950s/summer inspired looks and headed out - but not before making an ice cream pit stop first (just like Princess Ann did in the film)!  We stopped at a local ice cream truck, where I picked out a Nutella flavored ice cream and cone, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to.  Don't get me wrong; I always love ice cream, I just didn't intend to be eating in so many of the pictures.  In fact, half of the photos I couldn't even use because I had an ugly eating face.  I went back a few days later to get that flavor again.  Anyway, we first tried taking pictures in front of the ice cream truck, but it was pretty crowded and kept get lots of people in the background of our shots.  We eventually found a nice blue wall that still had a bit of retro charm.

Also, don't you love our color-coordinated looks?  It was completely unintentional!  We had a great time taking these pictures, and we might just have to do it again before I leave.
