Feeling Blue

Wearing:
Coat - John Lewis | Shirt - Zara | Jeans - BDG (Urban Outfitters) | Boots - Monki

Hello again!  It always seems like whenever I try to get back in the habit of blogging, something stops me again.  This time it's school.  These past few weeks (and the next few as well) seemed to just come crashing down upon me with deadlines.  Whilst I'm doing alright with the work load, it's hard to balance it with blogging.  So when did I take these pictures?  It's seems that I only had time during class!  One day during class, our instructor wanted everyone to become more accustomed with the cameras and sent us all out to take photos.  I had no intent on having my picture taken that day (it was the day after the election, and I was wearing all black because I was a bit disappointed in the results), and despite my hair looking rather a mess, it was still fun to get out there.  My friend and I found this fun, blue was that we enjoyed shooting in front of, and it was right on campus!
Anyway, sometime this week I'm going to try and venture out into central London for some blog photos; hopefully deadlines won't get the best of me!

Goodnight

Wearing:
Coat - John Lewis, Shirt - Forever 21, Jeans - BDG (Urban Outfitters), Boots - Monki, Bag - Oasis

On my last night in London, my mom and I took a short walk around the neighborhood.  It wasn't anything too exciting, but it was nice to be able to take the time to appreciate where we were staying.  I've always adored the pastel homes that can be found all around London, so I loved that some were walking distance from where we were staying.  I think it worked well that I ended up wearing only black, white, and grey because it allowed for the houses (and my lipstick) to really stand out.
I've been home for about a month now, and I already desperately miss London.  This is my last London post from this trip, so that means "regular" posts will be back.  However, if all goes well, I'm hoping to be back in the UK this fall.  Let's see what happens....

Nearby Gardens

Wearing:
Coat - John Lewis, Jumper - New Look, Jeans - BDG from Urban Outfitters, Boot - Candies from Kohls, Purse - Clarks

Right across from where I was staying was a cute little garden; it would be a perfect place for morning coffee... when it's not raining.  Unfortunately for me, it rained for the majority of the days I was there.  However that didn't stop me from its photogenic beauty.  I knew from the moment I arrived that I wanted to take pictures in there.
While I was in London, I treated myself to a new coat from the department store John Lewis.  As far as I'm aware, John Lewis isn't available in America, so this made it a great souvenir  to remember the trip.  I know that I already have a grey coat that's somewhat similar to this (see: all of my other London posts), but I've always wanted a really nice coat, and my other one is just from Forever 21.  Putting it on for the first time just felt amazing (and not just because it's made from Italian wool).
This was the first time wearing my new coat, so I wanted a simple look that would put the focus on the coat.  I love the combination of the colors grey and camel, and I had just picked up this jumper from New Look earlier in the week; together the two pieces complimented each other beautifully.  Not wanting to bring more colors in, I figured black jeans and boots would be best (because is black really a color?).
Walking back to where I was staying, I saw this blue door.  Even though it's clearly not the same blue door from the movie "Notting Hill," I just couldn't resist a picture.
