London Calling

My favorite part of the trip that I took this summer was definitely London.  London is my favorite city in the world, and I know that I will live there.  So here are my favorite photos from London.

This is my favorite photo ever.  My dad took this while the tube was moving behind us.  I just love everything about this.

Here I'm in front of Tower Bridge.  I had to take off my hat because it was windy and was afraid of it blowing away.  At the beginning of the summer, I was wearing a hat, and it blew onto the roof of Petsmart.  Amazing, the employees went to the roof and got it down for me, but I still didn't want to take any chances this time.
Wearing:  Forever 21 blouse, American Apparel shorts, Boohoo ankle boots, H&M bowler hat, Topshop satchel

I quickly put the hat on for a photo opt here.

For lunch, my dad and I went to this little place in the financial district.  After lunch, I ordered this dessert that was some sort of cross between pudding and molten chocolate cake.  I was one of the most amazing desserts I have ever had.

Finally, this is some London street style.  I find myself heavily influenced by London style, so to be able to actually go to London and see the style for myself was a dream.  London style is a bit edgier, yet also very fun.  It's able to mix lots of black with colors.  I love it.

London is amazing.  I really hope I can go back there soon.

Fave Looks from NYFW

Since fashion month has officially ended, I decided to look over some of my favorite looks/collections from the different weeks.  New York fashion week was first, so here are my favorite collections.

Rag & Bone

Prabal Gurung

Marc by Marc Jacobs

Personally I felt a bit disappointed with some of the collections this season.  But, these are collections I felt were the most... what word am I looking for?  I don't know, but these collections are definitely my favorite.  I wish that I could have gone to NYFW, but I know that someday I will go.  But today, I have homework.

Designer Boutiques of Florence, Italy

Hello all!  Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, I've been pretty busy with school.  However, my dad FINALLY emailed me the photos he took on our trip (well most of them).  So in honor of the end fashion week, here are all the designer boutiques I was able to see:
Hermez
Wearing:  Boohoo ankle boots, American Apparel shorts, Bar III blouse, Topshop Satchel

Valentino
 Wearing:  Topshop dress, Topshop satchel

Miu Miu
Wearing:  Vintage skirt, Forever 21 blouse, C-Label flatforms, Topshop Satchel

Chanel

While we were in front of the store, my dad asked me why we just don't walk in.  Basically I said to him...
(I made this one!)
Of course I would have loved to go inside, but out front the store had a guard who was turning people away.

While we were there, I saw many other designer boutiques such as Gucci and MaxMara (I actually went inside that one).

Well I have more pictures to come!  Stay tuned!

Vintage Dress from Rome

Last week was the first week of school, so I was so excited to get to wear all of the new clothes that I bought this summer.  One of the dresses I was most excited to wear was this great vintage dress that I bought in Rome.

The dress is a vintage dress from the 1960s.  The belt and the ring (that you can barely see) are both from JCPenny's.  And the ankle boots are from River Island.

First Day of School/Chanel Lipstick Review

A few days ago school started again.  I have had a very unusual but amazing summer.  I had the opportunities to go to France, England, and Italy.  Even though this summer was filled with adventure (and shopping), I was actually rather excited to go back to school.  I was most excited to see all my school friends again, and I was especially excited to wear all of my new clothes.

On the first day I wore a new dress and a new pair of ankle boots that I bought in London.  The dress is from Miss Selfridges and the boots are from River Island.  However the belt is just from JC Penny's.
The Lipstick I am wearing is a Chanel lipstick that I bought on my trip to France.  The exact lipstick I purchased it Chanel ROUGE ALLURE  Luminous Intense Lip Colour in shade 94 "Extatique".

This lipstick is beautiful.  When I first opened the tube, it was just perfectly sculpted, and the Chanel logo was (and still is) perfectly imprinted.  The first time I used this lipstick, I didn't use a base underneath it.  When you wear it, it's a great somewhat metallic pink colour.  But when you don't wear a base beneath this lipstick it doesn't last super long.  I was a bit disappointed in that, so I went out and bought myself a lip liner to use as a base.  Living in a small town, I knew that I wouldn't have access to buying a matching Chanel lip liner (I also didn't have time to buy it online).  So instead I went to my local Ulta store and bought the NYX lip liner pencil in 816 Fuchsia.  This shade matches pretty well.  At first I thought it was a bit dark, but it sill works really well.  Wearing this lip liner as a base, I applied the lipstick at about 8:15 and didn't need to reapply until after 3:35.  Together, they are a perfect combo.

The lipstick is more expensive than the average drugstore brand.  It runs for about $32.  However the lip liner is a drugstore brand, so it's only $3.50.  This Chanel lipstick was a great treat for myself, and I'm really glad I bought it.  My favorite lipstick brand ever, though, would have to be MAC.  But overall, these are still great.
