Rodin Gardens

Wearing:
Dress - H&M, Vest - Target, Shoes - Converse, Bag - K-Mart

Sigh.  Looking through these photos makes realize how much I love Paris.  It rained for a good portion of my trip, but luckily on the day my dad and I visited the beautiful Rodin Gardens the day was lovely.  The weather was perfect, so I felt that I could truly appreciate Rodin's art and the gardens.
Since it wasn't raining, I decided to wear something that didn't require a jacket.  I knew I wanted to wear my white, tuxedo vest from Target.  To make it really pop, I paired with just a simple, black, midi dress from H&M and my Converse.  I wore this outfit one other time on my trip when I visited one of my dream schools.  The school is International Fashion Academy Paris.  I hope that in a few years, I'll be lucky enough to attend there.  Paris... somehow I'll find a way!

Métro à la Tour Eiffel

Wearing:
Vest - Target, Tee - Forever 21, Trousers - Jennifer Lopez for Kohls, Sneakers - Converse, Bag - K-Mart

I suppose the title isn't exactly true, as we didn't take the metro to directly to the Eiffel Tower.  On this day, my dad and I wanted to go find the book sellers by the Seine.  We took the metro about half way to the book sellers, thinking we'd be able to walk the rest of the way there.  Instead we ended up getting a bit lost and found ourselves by the Eiffel Tower.  With as many gypsies as we saw, there is something truly magical about being in the presence of the Eiffel Tower.  (And our lost walk there was also beautiful with lots of history.)
I knew we would be doing a lot of walking, so I decided to wear my most comfortable shoes: my Converse.  I paired my Converse with my light, black trousers from Kohls.  Then I decided to tuck in a new grey and white striped tee into my trousers.  Finally I felt that this white menswear shaped vest would bring out the white from the tee but also the menswear shape from the trousers.
It was a day for pictures (I think I took over 75 pictures that day alone).  But I have more pictures to come in the next day or two!

Back From the Dead... Actually Paris

Wearing:
Dress - my mom made it for me, Kimono - Monteau (TJ Maxx), Leather Jacket - Mudd (Kohls), Boots - Simply Vera Vera Wang from Kohls, Purse - Ross
Lipstick - M.A.C Red Lipstick with Cherry Lipliner

Hellooo again!  It has been almost a month since I last posted, however if you follow me on instagram you might know that I've been in Paris!  (Then, after I was in Paris, I visited my aunt and cousin in Michigan.)  I spent about 11 days wondering around the beautiful city.  Being able to spend almost two weeks in just one place, rather than traveling around to different cities, it really helped me feel as if I were a local.
While I was there my dad actually took my senior photos!  My dad is a film professor and practically a professional photographer, so it was a great opportunity to have my dad take the photos while having the most beautiful backdrop in the world.  So today I'm sharing with you, before anyone else (other than my mother and my aunt), my senior photos.
My dad's favorite is the one that he edited so there's five of me walking.  My favorite is the first picture, but I also adore the one of me in front of the wooden door.
I had a lot to decide for what to wear for my senior photos.  Most of my friends wear basic things like jeans and t-shirts, but I knew from the start that I didn't want to wear anything like that.  I don't know why, but I somehow got it in my head that I wanted a silver slip dress.  As I've mentioned numerous times before, where I live doesn't have the best shopping selection, so it was no surprise that I couldn't find one in town.  What I did find surprising was that I couldn't even find one online that I liked.  Luckily my mom knows how to sew, so I found a pattern and some fabric that I liked, and it actually turned out gorgeously.  I then paired it with my lace kimono and leather jacket so I could switch back and forth between the two.  Finally I decided I would wear my black ankle boots that look good with both the jacket and the kimono.  And, of course, I had to add my almost signature red lipstick.

I have more pictures to come from my trip!  Also school starts for me next week, and it will be my senior year!!!
