Erdem X H&M

Wearing:
Shirt - Erdem x H&M | Coat - John Lewis | Jeans - Boohoo | Sneakers - Adidas | Belt - H&M | Beret - Zara | Bag - Target

Finally, finally, finally I've been able to get my hands on an H&M collab piece!  In years past I've lived too far away from any H&M to go to a store and try score a piece, or I just haven't been fast enough online.  However, when they announced that Erdem would be the next designer collaboration and I knew that I would be in London, I made up my mind that I couldn't miss out.  Erdem has been one of my favorite designers these past few years; I love how his designs have a modern take on something that could have been worn 100 or so years ago (basically how I would want to dress everyday if I could).
I ended up just getting a blouse from the collection because, well, student expenses are probably more important in the long run (although I'm still lusting after that navy coat).  It's alright though because I actually needed a long sleeve white blouse to add my wardrobe, so I know I'll wear this all the time.  The blouse has all the elements of an 'Elizabeth' piece: ruffles, high neck, looks like it's from the Victorian age.  I'd also like to thank my friend Conor, who picked the blouse up for me when a school thing came up last minute and I could no longer go to the launch; you're the best.

Where better to debut my beautiful new shirt than a beautiful old house?  Kenwood House is in Hampstead Heath in North London, and is even more gorgeous than I could have imagined.  It's been featured in a number of movies, including two of my favorites: Belle and Notting Hill (I did my best to try and recreate some of that scene from Notting Hill).  It was a bit chilly whilst I was there (hence the beret and coat), but at least the sun shined the entire time.  However, my friend and I were able to warm ourselves up by stopping at the cafĂ© for some hot chocolate and cake.  The best part about my visit though?  I saw the actor who played Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter movies there!  It was a brief appearance, but it was still exciting to catch a glimpse of a celebrity.  With the house being free entry, I definitely see myself going back there... although maybe on a slightly warmer day.
