Ah, Schönbrunn.  This beautiful palace and grounds can easily take the entire day to explore, that is, if you don't spend the entire day waiting in line to get in.  My friend and I had the Vienna Pass, which gave us a slightly quicker entry and a self guided tour around the palace.  We spent the remainder of the day moseying around the grounds admiring its grandeur.  It's hard to imagine that people actually called this home, and that it was still being occupied up until the early 20th century.

My friend and I wanted a day where we could take endless amounts of photos, and I wanted to wear a look that would complement the grounds.  The palace is a gorgeous shade canary yellow, so what does one wear so they can still stand out?  My solution?  Black, obviously.  Although perhaps not being the best choice when it came to the weather, the sleek choice stood out against the colourful background.  I paired my black turtleneck (perhaps a short sleeve top would have been better) and Dr. Martens with these plaid trousers that I recently picked up from Topshop.  They're a great classic pant, and if you look closely, there are actually thin stripes of lilac within the plaid pattern.  Not only were these trousers great for this holiday, I'm sure I'll get lots of use out of them when I (eventually) find myself a job!  Fingers crossed that it's sooner rather than later!!
