Boardwalk

Santa Cruz is an iconic beach town.  It's over 100 years old, and a must see if you love the beach, amusement park rides, or both.  Even though I was born only an hour away from Santa Cruz, I had never been there.  If you read my last post, you'll know that I fell in love with the beach, but I also fell in love with the charms of the town.  Sure, it's pretty touristy around the boardwalk, but the town itself just gives off such a fun carefree vibe.  My one regret is not actually going on any of the rides.  Being there only for the day, and with family members we just didn't have time to fit them in the day. Then again, the ride I would have most wanted to go on were the swings, and they probably wouldn't have been the best thing to do wearing a dress.

My day ended with sand all over my dress, a nasty sunburn on my face, and a desire to return as soon as I could.  Any recommendations for the next time I go?  Let me know in the comments!
