Hello again!
Well, it seems like I once again took the month of October off from blogging. Last year, I had just moved to London, was trying to make new friends, and getting used to the beat of school; feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all, I decided I needed a break from blogging. I didn't post at all during the entire month of October. I was able to focus on the other things I needed to, whilst also thinking what I wanted to do with this blog. That's when I decided I needed a change of direction with the blog, and Wear She's Gone was born!
This October, I feel like I'm going through a lot of the same things again, and I just didn't have the time to think about blogging. Uni seems to be going faster this year, and I've been helping out friends on some of their projects too. With all of this going on, it's been tough to find the time to go have fun in central London.
So last week, when I had a free weekend, my friend suggested we go down to Greenwich. He's from the area and knows it well, so we hopped on the DLR and took the journey there. It's a bit out of the way compared to a lot of London hot spots, but once getting there I fell in love with it. It's filled with vintage markets and local shops. We had brunch in a tiny café, and then wandered around the many food stalls in the market for a bit of dessert. We finished our day there by walking around the Old Royal Naval College and visiting the Queen's House. The Queen's House was a nice, unexpected surprise as it was completely free and holds a huge collection of paintings, including the Armada Portrait of Queen Elizabeth I.
If you're in London, and have the time to go to Greenwich, I would 100% recommend it.
So, I'm going to try and get my sh*t together and get back at this blogging thing. Wish me luck.
Elizabeth xx
