Belgium had never really been a travel priority for me.  There are so many places in the world I want to visit, and I think - to me - the small country blended in with France and The Netherlands.  In retrospect, however, I'm not really sure why ; with it being known for its waffles and chocolate, what's not to love?  I also never realized that Belgium has a large fashion industry.  Many acclaimed designers, such as Raf Simons and Dries Van Noten, call Belgium their home, and that's why my uni course took us there.  Now that I've gone there, I realize how much I have been missing.  It's filled with rich history, nice people, and great food.
These photos were taken in the fashion district.  That morning our class toured the offices of the Antwerp fashion brand Essentiel.  Their offices are large and beautiful, the walls are painted with the perfect shade of millennial pink, and the CEO seems like a dream to work for (not to mention her office was the definition of goals).  We then had some free time to explore the area; there is no shortage of shopping in Antwerp.  My friends and I loved all the vintage shops we found.  I picked up two bags, one being a perfect piece if I ever wanted to dress up as Indiana Jones.

Would you guys be interested in a city guide for Antwerp?  It would have to be a mini-guide as I wasn't there for too long, however I would still be up for putting one together if anyone's interested!  Let me know in the comments below!
