Fave Looks from MFW

Ah Milan.  What I find interesting about Milan Fashion Week is just how Italian it is.  This past summer when I went to Italy, though I didn't go to Milan, I learned that Italians are very proud to be Italian.  It's probably why Milan Fashion seems more national that other weeks.  Take Dolce & Gabbana for example.  It always looks very Italian.  But this isn't a bad thing.  In fact, I feel this is what makes Milan Fashion Week unique.  So now, here are my three favorite labels for MFW.

Let's start with No. 21:

No. 21 is designed by Alessandro Dell'Acqua.  I really like this collection; it maintains its Italian roots but has unique details.  The menswear influences I think go rally well with the soft fabrics and feminine shapes.  This collection has looks that could be worn to the beach, to the office, and everywhere in between.

Next is Fausto Puglisi:

This collection is so fun!  Some of this collection, I will say, are pretty unwearable.  I don't have example here, but there are these leather harness bralet things that a busty girl would never be able to wear it (or if you had any bust what so ever).  But some other pieces are just so great and fun.  I mean, look at that leather jacket that Karolina Kurkova is wearing!  Or the skirt in the top right corner, the shape on that is crazy.  He also used many colors managed to integrate them beautifully together.

And finally, Fendi:

Lovely, lovely Fendi.  But with creative director Karl Lagerfeld, how could this collection not be lovely?  My favorite part of this collection is the lines that he was able to create.  It was so hard to pick just four pictures, because every look innovative.  The way he managed to combine so many different fabrics and colors is just impeccable.  Now let's just take a moment to admire the leather jacket on the bottom left.  I have never seen a neckline like that before.  Words cannot express how much I would love to have that jacket.  And then how it's paired with a sheer dress?  Perfect.

Thanks everyone for viewing!  My review on Paris Fashion Week is coming soon!
