May Showers

Wearing:
Boots - New Look, Jacket - Mudd, Shirt - Peter Pilotto for Target, Jeans - Simply Vera Vera Wang.

Hello again!  I have been extremely busy lately.  Even though the end of school isn't for another month, this past week I had my final for my AP US history class.  However, that class is a combo class with honors English.  Two classes = two finals.  Now this coming week I have the actual AP exam.  But after the exam, my workload will be greatly decreased (along with my stress!).
Where I live, the expression, "April showers bring May flowers," doesn't really apply here.  Here the expression would probably go along the lines of, "Snow continues in April, which then becomes May showers, which hopefully brings June flowers," but that's not as catchy is it?  So May means I need to constantly travel with an umbrella and a coat. So I'm wearing my favorite (faux) leather jacket and black jeans.  Then my Peter Pilotto for Target shirt to bring in some color.  And finally my new New Look ankle boots which I purchased from asos.  If you follow me on instagram, you would know that I've been wanting these boots for a while.  So when they finally went on sale I just had to buy them.  I've been wearing them practically everyday since I got them in the mail.  I think my favorite part about them might be the fact that nobody in town has anything like these, so when I wear them I really stand out.  Then let's not forget my polka dot umbrella to protect me from the rain.  I pretty much buy everything now in black and/or white so it will almost always go with what I'm wearing.  Though the polka dots from the umbrella and the floral from the shirt may clash a little, I think they do work well together.

Next weekend is prom!  I didn't think I was going to go, but at the last minute I decided to go!  My dress hasn't arrived yet which is scaring me, but I just bought a backup dress in case my original dress doesn't arrive in time.  My mom compared my situation to celebrities going to the Oscars, since they all seem to have a backup dress.  So we'll see which one I'll end up wearing.  Pictures are guaranteed!  I can also guarantee you that neither of my dress look like a stereotypical (American) prom dress.  I'm getting excited!
