Dress - Zara | Boots - Bershka | Coat - John Lewis | Hat - H&M | Bag - Clarks

Five years ago today I decided I would start a blog.  I had been reading blogs for ages, and like many others before (and I'm sure many more after me), I thought to myself, "hey, I can do that."  Living in Montana, the fashion world always felt a million miles away, and this was my little slice of it.  Compared to others, this little space of the internet has hardly achieved much, but for me keeping this up helped go to the Teen Vogue Fashion University in New York, it helped me get my first job, and most importantly it helped me get into my top choice uni that fulfilled my dream to moving to London.
It's funny to think that maybe the reason I finally decided to create this was because I was probably procrastinating on my AP Euro homework (five years later, and it's still the hardest class I've ever taken), but I'm so happy I took this plunge.  I promise I'll never delete my original posts, as cringe as they may be with all of their spelling mistakes, as they remind me of how far I've come -- I can't believe I used to take my blog photos with an iPod touch!  That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if in five years I laugh at these photos (how dare I allow the hole in my tights be photographed?!).

With name changes and many layout redesigns, this blog looks pretty different to how I originally set it up.  However, with each change I love it even more.  Here's to another five years.

  1. I love this post! It's hard not to feel disheartened when others around us seem to grow so much quicker, but I think as long as you create content for yourself that makes you happy and proud, that's the most important thing. Amazing pictures, too! xx
