It almost feels a bit weird posting this now that it's officially fall. But, as usual, I'm a bit behind on sharing my photos from summer. For the most part, the summer has seemed endless, especially with London being hit by a heatwave. It's only really been the last week or so where you know that autumn has found its way here and is here to stay. Never the less, I can relive my summer days through these photos.
Last year I visited Santa Cruz for the first time; I loved the beach town so much that I knew I wanted to go back as soon as I could get the chance. Fast forward to this summer, and during the two weeks I was in California, I was able to spend a classically American summer day on this beach and boardwalk. My light jumpsuit was perfectly comfortable for a walk around the boardwalk, and I just kept my swimsuit on underneath. I actually went swimming for the first time since who knows when, although I can't say I stayed in the water long as it was pretty chilly. Still, I knew that I would be spending more time at the beach than I have in the past, so I went out and found this cute one-piece swimsuit from Monki. I love the retro shape to it and its bright colors. Normally I'm one to stick to neutrals, but I found myself so attracted to this suit there was no way I could say no.
I left Santa Cruz that day with surprisingly no sunburn, which all I can say is a grand success.
