Blossom

I have to say... this my be my favorite post I've done to date.  Everything from the location to the weather was just perfect.  I took these photos in Notting Hill, as I'd seen from social media that the trees are blossoming at the moment.  I knew that these blossoms would look gorgeous in photos, so I dragged my friend with me (thanks, Amber!) and we began shooting almost immediately after getting there.  Notting Hill will forever be my dream place to live, and seeing it in this perfect weather certainly didn't help the impossible dream.  Its pastel houses seemed to glow even more in this sunlight.
Even though when I took these pictures the weather was absolutely perfect, the beginning of spring is always a tricky time when getting dressed.  It's that transitional period where in the morning you leave the house in a warm coat, but by the time you come back in the afternoon you're drenched in sweat from the heat.  I've always found it especially tricky to dress, as I've always been a fan of jumpers.  They're so cozy, and I never want to take them off.  This one I'm wearing I just found in the H&M mid-season sale for only a tenner.  Fact: if something has ruffles on it (especially jumpers/sweaters), there is a 110% chance I will fall in love with it.  The combination of the ruffles and the low price, there was no way I could pass this up.  I also picked up this Greek Fisherman's hat from H&M.  I tend to be very fussy when it comes to hats; I've been on the look out for something like this for a while now, but just couldn't find the one.  Amazingly, I randomly came across a single, internet return in a store.  As soon as I realized that it was the only one, I practically ran to the check out.  For the rest of the look, I tried to keep in mind this transitional weather.  Like I mentioned earlier, I love my jumpers, so I made sure not to wear a coat or any heavy trousers; my mom jeans were the perfect solution (although they're starting to be a bit too big for me, so I guess that's a good thing?).  Finally I threw on my buckle boots, which really aren't boots, but they're great for the spring.
