Jacket - WhoWhatWear x Target | Trousers - Zara | Shirt - Kohls | Boots - Asos | Hat - H&M | Sunglasses - Boohoo
Notting Hill is home to many things: pastel houses, antique markets, and great food (Doughnut Time has my favourite donuts in the city). However, I think the one spot that I find myself continually going back to time and time again is the American Food Store. I know what you're thinking: I've come all the way to London - my dream city - just to shop at the American Food Store? And honestly, you're right. It is a bit of a waste, but sometimes I just get a wave of homesickness or a craving for some of my old favourite snacks and I can't help but go. Especially on a day like today - the 4th of July. This is the first year ever that I haven't been in the US for this holiday. It was always one of my favorites as a kid; no school, barbecues with your closest friends and family, fireworks... what's not to love? So it was a bit of a shock to the system to me this morning when I still had to wake up to an alarm and get working. Anyway, since I can't be home for this holiday, why not bring home to me in one of my favorite ways: Goldfish crackers and Annie's Mac & Cheese. It's the little things in life.
On a side note, I am currently obsessed with these sunglasses. The white sunnies that were a part of my daily uniform finally gave out on me a month or so back. Since then I had been after a pair with the retro, cat eye shape but weren't too small (not gonna lie, I'm not feeling the micro sunglasses trend at the moment). Eventually I came across these on Boohoo, and they were just what I was looking for. Making their official debut for these photos, I brought out these cropped, kick flare trousers which I believe is my first time featuring them on the blog. The trousers and the sunglasses together are a lot of fun but also make enough of a statement that I decided just a black top, boots, and a denim jacket would be all that was needed to complete the look. But, being me, I threw on my Baker Boy hat before I left the house despite the scorching weather. Is anyone else already over this London heatwave?
Happy 4th of July to everyone out there!
