Living in London definitely has its perks. The other week, I found out about a Coach event going on at Regent Street. The event, which had partnered with the fashion website WhoWhatWear UK was free to the public, with all you had to do was sign up online beforehand. I had only found out about it the morning of, but my friend Conor and I excitedly signed up.
When we arrived we were greeted with sweet canapés and goodie bags, which included a mini wristlet wallet and a bottle of water. All around they had Coach employees available to talk to you about new products and giving us coupons to come back and get out new wristlets monogramed. They were very helpful about any questions we had, even if we couldn't actually afford most of the products there. In addition to the delicious sweets we tried, they had various free drinks including Prosecco and a non-alcoholic pink drink that I wish I could remember what it was called because it was so good. Eventually Conor and I found ourselves at the Photo Booth in the basement, where we had far too much fun doing different faces and poses for the camera. Normally I don't think of Coach as one of my favorite brands (anyone else associate it as the brand of bag their moms would carry?), but they had so many cute pieces there that the temptation to dip into my savings for all too real.
I would say my favorite part of the night, though, was being able to talk to some of the editors from WhoWhatWear. They were all so nice and gave me some future career advice. They also loved the fact that I was wearing a piece from the WhoWhatWear collection; because the collection isn't available in the UK, they don't get to see the products in person very often. I always say, there aren't many specific things that I miss about the US (other than family and friends, of course), but the WhoWhatWear collection from Target is definitely one of them.
