Christmas in London

Merry Christmas everyone!  And despite what the title of this post may suggest, I am not actually in London for Christmas.  A week ago yesterday, I arrived back home to Montana for the holidays.  I have to say, it's been great being back and getting to see all of my old friends.  It's been a year since I've last been back, and I was actually starting to miss it a little.  It's strange, as I've never felt more at home than when I'm in London, but in the recent months I have been starting to miss some things about my quaint little town.  (That being said, my town is starting to not be so little.  In the year that I've been gone, the population seems to have grown more than ever!)
However, London really is the place to be during the holiday season.  There are trees and decorations all throughout the city.  Covent Garden tends to have the most famous tree of the season (probably London's equivalent of the Rockefeller tree), but I found this beauty just off of Piccadilly Circus.  And with all the streets being fully decorated, it's hard not to feel the Christmas magic.  If I'm still living in London next year, I think I'll aim to stay in the city for the holidays.

As it's the holiday season, I'll keep this post nice and short.  So whether you're enjoying the bright lights of a city, or the stillness of your hometown, I hope you've all had a Merry Christmas!

Elizabeth xx
